We have so much space out here like this that it's easy to take it for granted. Sometimes, all it takes is to feel trapped by buildings and forests to remind us of how much we love this desolation.

My son just recently adopted this Red Stripe turtle. Interesting creature. He started out being fairly skittish and trying to avoid being seen, but he now swims up close when he thinks it's feeding time.
